Peer Mentoring
It is often easier to achieve own goals as part of a small team. That is true for the career of postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors too. During Peer Mentoring, mentees assemble in small teams to motivate and support each other to reach the next career steps by working in a goal-oriented, structured way and using the Peer Mentoring techniques. By working as a group, you will focus on your goals on a more regular basis, so you will achieve more and you will get there faster. Peer Mentoring will mostly keep you accountable in your professional growth.
Peer Mentoring: How does it work?
- During the kick-off meeting, you will learn and practice the successful techniques of Peer Mentoring. The techniques are also helpful in every day work, especially as a leader.
- You will set your career goals for the next seven month.
- You will set up small teams who will meet roughly every six weeks for up to 2,5 hours, coaching each other by applying the techniques learned.
- After seven months, there will be a moderated meeting of all teams reflecting on individual success, taking stock of achievements and deciding on further cooperation.
